* May 10, 2012 "Dia del Maestro" Educator of the Year Recognition & Student Scholarship Awards Banquet at the Corinthian Event Center in San Jose. We will honor ten educators and award twenty $1,000 scholarships to high school and community college students. Our Silicon Valley AMAE chapter meets every 1st Tuesday of the month at 5:30pm at San Jose City College in SC 104. You are welcome to attend and join us.
This past year we celebrated:
* Our 2nd Annual "Si se Puede" Latino Conference in October at Evergreen Valley College.
* Our 2nd Annual "Back to School" Social" and and invited Gary Soto as our guest.
*Our 1st Annual "Leo Cortez Student Leadership" Conference at San Jose City College in January.
* Our 1st Annual "Scholarship Golf Tournament" Fundraiser at Los Lagos Golf Course in San Jose.
* Our 1st Annual "Ivy League College Tour" in April where we took students to visit & tour colleges.
*Our 2nd Annual "Dia del Maestro" Educator of the Year Recognition & Student Scholarship Awards Banquet where we will honor ten educators & award twenty $1,000 scholarships.
